I will inspect your instrument together, discuss potential fixes, and provide an accurate quote before any work begins. From fret adjustments and structural repairs to complex issues you might not know how to describe, I will get your guitar playing perfectly.

The Journeyman Setup:
A great setup is more than just a standard checklist—it requires understanding what your specific instrument needs. Every Journeyman Setup provides a complete overhaul, including:
Deep cleaning, hardware checks, and pot cleaning
Fret polishing and fingerboard treatments
Precise adjustments to neck relief, action, pickup height, and intonation

Restringing Services:
Every restring includes a fretboard clean, a hardware check, and a basic condition assessment. Your guitar will leave with fresh strings completely stretched and tuned for maximum stability. You can bring your own strings or request your favorite set ahead of time. Please note that pricing varies by instrument type, as 12-strings and locking tremolo systems require extra bench time.

Custom Electronics & Modifications:
Whether you want to upgrade your tone or fix a broken component, I can handle anything inside the control cavity. I specialize in pickup swaps, rewires, switching upgrades, active preamps, and jack or pot replacements.
Free Assessments, No Surprises
Diagnostics and assessments are always free. I quote all parts and labor upfront so there are never any surprises. Even if you aren't sure if your idea is possible, book an appointment anyway—I'll figure out exactly what your guitar can do.

Restringing Services & Lessons
Every standard restring includes removing old strings, tightening hardware, conditioning the fingerboard, stretching and tuning the new strings for stability, and a full instrument polish. (Note: New strings are sold separately unless specified).
Standard Restring & Tune: $25
Applies to: 6-string steel acoustic/electric, 6-string classical (ball-end), 4–7 string electric bass, and 4 or 5-string banjos.
Specialty Restring & Tune: $50
Applies to: 12-string acoustic and traditional 6-string classical guitars.
Restring Lessons: $80 ($100 for locking tremolo "Floyd Rose" systems and 12 strings)

The Essential Setup Package:
My comprehensive setup brings your instrument back to peak playability. It includes removing old strings, a full hardware inspection, fretboard cleaning, fret polishing (with a high-fret check), electronics cleaning, pickup height calibration, and detailed adjustments to the truss rod, nut slots, bridge saddle radius, and intonation.
Standard Setup: $100
Specialty Setup Upgrade: Add $50 (For 12-string guitars and locking tremolo "Floyd Rose" style systems).

Hardware & Electronics Upgrades:
Pickup, Potentiometer (Pot), or Switch Installation: $60 per pickup
Input Jack Replacement: $50
Tuner Replacement: $100
Electric Guitar Bridge Replacement: $100

Advanced Fretwork & Component Fitting:
Nut Installation: $80 (12-string guitars: $160)
